Your dental insurance is a contracted agreement between you, your employer and the insurance company responsible for your coverage. The benefits provided by your coverage is strictly based on the terms of your agreement and has nothing to do with your dental treatment provider. Our office has no control over the benefits you’re entitled to through your dental insurance coverage. It is very important that you familiarize yourself with the terms of your agreement so you know what benefits you’re entitled to. Dental insurance rarely covers 100% of any dental fee. In some cases, dental insurance policies cover less than 50% of the cost of treatment.

Understanding the complexities of your Dental Insurance coverage can often be very confusing. In some cases, insurance companies may fail to provide the sufficient information needed to fully understand what is covered under the plan. This can lead to further difficulties when you want to claim the benefits you’re entitled to. We will work with you to help you understand what you are covered for but you may be required to consult your insurance company about your plan.

We will accept direct payment.

Predetermination Policies are when your insurance company requires you to get their authorization before you receive any treatment or make a claim against your dental plan. We recognize that this authorization process is often time consuming and frustrating. Our office will do everything we can to make sure you receive the insurance benefits to which you’re entitled with as little frustration as possible.

“Elective” procedures are typically the procedure that exceed what most dental plans cover. This includes some cosmetic, implant and orthodontic services. Sometimes there are great long term benefits to these treatments even though they are not covered by your plan. In cases where you can benefit from one of these elective procedures, our office will work with you to provide flexible payment options that allow you to get the treatment that will provide the best end result.

Many times insurance companies provide coverage for just basic care. This may not result in the best long term care for you if your needs require more advanced care. We will discuss this with you fully so you can make an informed decision on the care best suited for you.
